Teeth
The 8 year old saw the orthodontist last week.
It was recommended that these baby teeth be removed.
Yesterday we went to the dentist and got them pulled.
She did great!
School Shoes
Men's size 10.5 for the 12 year old who will be in 7th grade. |
Women's size 8 for the 10 year old who will be in 6th grade. |
Kid's size 3 for the 8 year old who will be in 3rd grade. |
Kids size 12 for the 5 year old who will be in 1st grade. |
These were so cute I didn't resist when my red head encouraged me to get them. They are a kid's size 8 for our 3 year old brown eyed beauty. I didn't get any for our 6 year old boy today. |

Landscaping
My 5 year old boy and his 8 year old sister have been playing together all afternoon. While cleaning, I walked in on this and he said "I'm landscaping my mailbox". I love my kids. Our 12 year old boy has been reading most of the afternoon - I think he finished a dragon story. Our red-headed beauty has been organizing the stuff in her room - trying to consolidate and get rid of some stuff. My husband is working til about three and then we are all off to his parents house to celebrate with family (they just live about 10 minutes away). Then it's back home this evening to watch the fireworks from our driveway.
I'm looking forward to traveling back to Ethiopia and bringing our two brown eyed children home so they can join in all the fun. He's six years old and she's three.
Happy 4th of July.

Spring Break
We visited The Children's Museum of Indianapolis on Monday. The museum worker in red is the kids Auntie - they love seeing her.
In this picture the crew is re-purposing some curtains I made from blue jean pieces a while back. Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Today I was the victim of a young person's road rage - I was an innocent bystander as he tried to pass the truck he was mad at. I was stopped at an intersection and the at-fault driver tried to pass the truck in the intersection and ended up running into both of us. Ugh! I think I'm fine but will go see the chiropractor and the insurance agent on Monday.

Breakfast in bed
The little guy wasn't feeling well this morning and asked for breakfast in bed. I think it's just allergies and maybe a bit of a cold (stuffy / runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing).
This was his breakfast - bagels with cream cheese, hard boiled egg, apple slices and juice and a multi-vitamin. He ate it all up. Yummy!
