Reading

It's the end of rest time and the kids are all awake - the older two are reading to the younger two. The boys are reading The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis and the girls are reading Go Dog Go! Classic literature :)
It's great that they can entertain each other. One of the perks of having more kids.

I love my husband

The other day (Tuesday) I wasn't feeling so great.

My husband came home from work (thankfully his employer values family) to help with the kids.

I was having severe abdominal pain so my dear husband arranged for the older kids to stay with a friend and he took me to urgent care. After an exam and some blood being drawn they gave me an IV - I was a bit dehydrated and sent me home.

Later they called and said the blood work came back and if I was still in pain and running a fever I should go to the ER and get checked since it could be appendicitis. So a friend came to watch the kids while my parents drove out to spend the night. (Thank you dear friend and thank you mom & dad.)

We were at the ER for about 16 hours I got another IV since they didn't want me to eat or drink anything in case they had to do surgery. And they did an ultra sound and CT scan (I'm not into medical stuff so I'm not sure if that's the way to write it but it's the big donut shaped x-ray machine where you have to lay real still and the electronic voice tells you when to breathe). I also got some antibiotics via the IV just in case they needed to do surgery. In the end it seems I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured and the fluid irritated my insides and I may have also had an infection of some kind. Thankfully no surgery needed. I'm feeling great today (Saturday).

It's frustrating that I probably would have been fine if I'd just stayed in bed at home but I'm very thankful that my family and friends were here to help and make sure I'm okay.
