More sand...

If you make a mess, you need to clean it up.

Isn't he just so cute!

Phonology

Our four year old had her first one hour phonology class on April 15th.
Her articulation is a bit delayed - she drops ending sounds and makes some substitutions. This combination makes it very hard to understand what she is trying to say. Because of the frustration she and the rest of the family has had over this, we had her tested. And, she's now receiving services from our public school system (for now it's just the group session).
My husband dropped her off for that first class and I picked her up. We both experienced some strong emotions - she's our first to "go off to school". I'm sure I'll experience many more emotions when the older two start school in August.
The teacher said our little girl did well and she was the "star student". We shall see how next Tuesday goes.

She's Four!

Our second daughter had her 4th birthday. We had an early check up with the doctor and then picked up her free birthday cake at Marsh (benefit of her being a Kids Club member). My husband took the day off and they went to the Indianapolis Zoo and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis where they saw "Auntie" (she works there). She enjoyed opening presents that came in the mail from Grandma and Great Aunt K. The Avon bath paints and pink clothing were a big hit!

sand

The kids uncle gave them this dinosaur a couple of houses ago. It's moved with us and just got filled with sand today. The young ones were enjoying it tonight. The little guy tried eating the sand but didn't like it. After playing in the sand it was a quick bath and off to bed.

backpacks

The kids made these backpacks. I felt like a bad mom because they were asking for cloth and sewing stuff and I told them no because I didn't want to make backpacks. But, they figured out how to make them out of other materials. So it was a good problem solving creative activity for them.
