sentient

I had to ask what "sentient" was when my 11 year old used it in conversation at the dinner table. He was talking to his sister about the characters in the book he's reading. He's working on The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne.

Furniture

We moved the furniture around last night. It's a lot less expensive than moving to a new house. We've been in this house since July 2007.

ICE

This was the view out the front window Tuesday morning. The kids were off school Tuesday and school is again closed on Wednesday. It's windy here now.
