The Big Sandbox

My husband was at the office late last night so I took the kids to the park to play in the big sandbox.

We visited the MSU 4-H Garden with my parents and brother. The kids had a good time. Here are just a few of the pictures I took.

The Piano

My five year old digital camera is not working now so I've been playing around with a little video camera that we got for about $60 a while back. I'm having fun learning how to make movies. My husband makes movies for other people / special causes. I'm just doing it for fun.

Our neighbors are moving and didn't want to take the piano with them. So they gave it to us. At first I was trying to find someone to take it but I kind of like having it here. Growing up I took piano lessons but didn't apply myself. I'm also not gifted musically like my husband is so I don't play very well but maybe if I practice I'll get better. Hope you enjoy the video. The kids are really enjoying the piano.

Last Day

This year, for the first time, my two older kids were in public school. They had a good year. We are very proud of them. On the last day of school there was an awards assembly and they both received academic awards. Our red head (shown in the second picture next to the principal) won a medal for science and our oldest swept the third grade medals (language arts, math, and science). Here he is with the principal. Our little red head will be back in Public School next year and our younger girl will be in kdg. Our oldest will be home again with me for 4th grade.
