Pink...
Number 3's favorite color is PINK. My husband was at a conference on Wednesday and now number 3 is sporting this pink hat and advertising Merrel Bros. Biosolids Management.
My husband is a civil engineer and I've heard more than once that the main thing civil engineers need to know is that water flows downhill and poop floats. Well at this conference he heard about a political action group "I poop and I vote". The movements website is quite humorous .

African?
The kids had their first school music program tonight. My girl was supposed to wear an African costume. Other kids were dressed as Native Americans, Germans, Irish, Israelis, Japanese/Chinese/Korean, and Caribbean. It seems a more natural pick for her would have been Irish - with her red hair she looks great in green. But, I didn't get to choose and she's cute whatever she wears :)
2nd grader in her classroom.
The program started with flags.
That's my boy waving.

Knees...
So this morning as I was getting ready for a meeting with some other ladies I was contemplating what to wear. With four young kids I spend a good deal of time on my knees and right now all I have one pair of blue jeans and one pair of brown jeans that don't have holes in knees. Well the blue jeans were in the wash so I thought - I'll borrow a pair of my husbands jeans.
Oops... now his jeans have a hole in the knee. Guess it's time to go shopping for some new jeans.

My 4 year old's Election Day Prayer
On the way to preschool I was telling my little girl that I was going to go and vote. She said we should pray. She wanted me to go first so I did there in the van. Then it was her turn. She couldn't remember how to say the candidates name so she prayed "Please keep the babies safe." Then at lunch she wanted to pray again. "Dear God, Thank you for the food and please help the babies to be all safe. Amen."
