Dogs

My three year old says "doggies are my favorite".

When we lived in Lansing she fell in love with the neighbor's dog Moses "Moey". She often gave him rawhide bones. (There are pictures of them at my April 1, 2007 post.) She still talks about him from time to time.

When I was pregnant with our youngest, Kris would smile, look at my tummy and pat her leg - the sign for dog. We always corrected her letting her know that it was a people baby not a dog baby. She likes her little brother but I think she's always been a little disappointed that we didn't get a puppy.

Our little dog lover will name a dog and ask when we are going to their house (sorry Miss Linda and Grandma "teely" - I know she loves you too).
For Christmas she wanted to give everyone who had a dog rawhide bones.
She says when she grows up she wants to be a "mommy and take dogs for walks".

Well, she has about 10 stuffed doggies and, as you can see in the pictures, she enjoys playing with them very much.

Snow place like home...

We are back from Michigan - all but the red head who is staying for a few days. The kids had fun in the snow. We don't have any snow, at present, here in Indiana.

My "green" project

These drapes are made of recycled blue jeans. We tend to wear holes in the knees of our jeans. So, I used the old jeans we had and a few from my sister-in-law and created these drapes for our sliding glass doors. It was fun and I'm fairly pleased with the results. I may need to add a couple more loops at the top.

Going to Grandmas

The kids and I are headed to Michigan for a few days. Dear husband will be here working in Plainfield. And, we will be in Bancroft. I enjoy visiting with my parents and it's nice to have extra adults around who love my kids and can listen to them. Some days my head just hurts from all the voices. Today at the post office I was trying to mail a package and get some stamps. As I'm filling out the customs form, unable to to remember my zip code and trying to figure out how many stamps I could get since I just had X amount of money in my pocket, I said to the postal clerk "I really like math and I can add, I'm just a little distracted." This came after the lady behind me in line ask me if the kids were all mine. I smiled and said yes. Then she said "my you have your hands full". Holding Joshua I replied "yes, he weighs about 25 pounds." I love my kids and I'm hoping our travel tomorrow goes well. The ditch would not be fun with four little ones.
